Hello!
We are excited to announce that applications are now open for this year’s Application Support Group (ASG) —a New York University-based, student-led initiative supporting prospective Ph.D. applicants in neuroscience, psychology, cognitive science, and related disciplines.
The ASG is a free program led by Ph.D. students and postdoctoral researchers at NYU, designed to guide prospective Ph.D. applicants, especially those who have little access to other support. We offer 1on1 mentorship with current NYU Ph.D. students and postdoctoral researchers including expert feedback on your Statement of Purpose, CV, interview prep, and general guidance. Anyone considering applying to neuroscience, psychology, cognitive science, and related disciplines in the United States is welcome to apply. This program is open to all undergraduate, post-baccalaureate, and Masters students.
Enrollment Period is July 15th - September 15, 2025
If you're selected for the 1:1 mentorship, you'll hear from us by the end of September. If you aren't selected or missed the September 15 deadline, don’t worry — we’ll be sending a link to the Discord, where group office hours will begin in early October, to everyone who submits an application, regardless of whether they’re selected or submit their application after the deadline.
Important Note: If you already filled out a survey previous to July 15th, please re-submit using the updated form to apply.
