Description
Emerging Scholars Program at
NYU Department of Biology
In partnership with the Emerging Scholars Program of the A&S Inclusive Excellence, the NYU Department of Biology is pleased to announce its second annual “Emerging Scholars Symposium” for NYU Biology. As a part of our ongoing efforts to develop an inclusive and diverse community of scholars, we are seeking PhD students to participate in a one-day program designed to support a postdoctoral pipeline for current research groups within the Department of Biology.
During our symposium, scholars will have the opportunity to showcase their research with NYU Biology faculty and trainees, have one-on-one meetings with recruiting faculty, attend a panel with current postdocs in the department, followed by an evening outing. This program aims to create lasting networks for up-and-coming junior scientists and provide opportunities for post-graduate positions. Find more information and details on how to apply here.
Application deadline is April 15th, 2025.
Requirements
- Eligible participants include PhD candidates within approximately 1 year of anticipated degree completion.
- Be able to attend the full day of activities during the symposium
- Early career scientists reflecting the diverse backgrounds across the United States are encouraged to apply. We recognize the importance of diverse viewpoints as we aim to create the most robust research environment possible with the widest impact.
