Description
The Rodriguez Lab at the IU School of Public Health is recruiting a doctoral student in public health to join our NIH-funded research program beginning Fall 2026 or Fall 2027.
Our research focuses on clinical intervention development and randomized controlled trials to support individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and their informal caregivers. A central priority of our work is addressing disparities in dementia care among populations at elevated risk, particularly Hispanic/Latino communities.
We are especially interested in applicants who are:
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Committed to culturally responsive and equity-focused research
Interested in clinical trials and behavioral intervention development
Motivated to work with families affected by Alzheimer’s disease
Research training will include:
Clinical trial design and implementation
Culturally tailored intervention development
Community-engaged and translational research
Caregiver and aging outcomes research
NIH-funded grant development and scholarly publication
Applicants should have prior training in public health, clinical psychology, behavioral science, nursing, epidemiology, or a related field.
This position is fully funded (research assistantship including stipend, tuition support, and health insurance).
