Currently there are thousands of unfilled critical cybersecurity jobs around the United States alone. At the same time, major security breaches continue to threaten our communities, with over 2,000 cyber-attacks each day. This threat is so large, that cybersecurity job postings have grown 94% since 2013.
C-CAP is committed to bridging the gap between cybersecurity opportunities and steadfast people who want to keep our families and neighbors safe.
We are currently in California, Colorado, Florida, North Carolina, and Texas. Soon we will be in Virginia, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, and Nebraska.
The Opportunity
C-CAP is offered online by the University of Colorado Colorado Springs.
During your time in C-CAP, you will:
- Take classes led by an instructor online in the evening
- Participate in industry focused boot-camps
- Be introduced to employers in the cybersecurity industry who have open positions and are looking to engage with apprentices
Upon successful completion of the program, you will have:
- A certificate in Cybersecurity Management from UCCS
- Logged 2000 on-the-job training hours with an employer in cybersecurity
- Earned 12 credit hours that you can apply to a bachelor’s degree in computer science with UCCS

Requirements
The Requirements
To be eligible for C-CAP, you must:
- Be a US legal resident 18 years of age or older
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Be experienced in computer networks OR have industry experience that is vetted through a resume review OR meet educational requirements
- Educational requirements include each of the following
- 60 credit hours or more with a GPA of 2.7 or better from a college or university
- A grade of “C” or better in at least College Algebra and a College Level Composition Course
- Educational requirements include each of the following
